WORKING PRINCIPLE
The vortex grit removal system consists of spe-cially shaped hopper having two diameters.Two channels are connected to the hopper: inlet and outlet channels.

The wastewater previously screened (using a multirake bar screen or a screw screen) enters the sedimentation basin with a suitable speed (due to the specially shaped inlet channel ), the shape of the hopper allows the water to develop a rotational motion which allows the sedimentation of the sands.The sands are then collected in the well, then re-moved by means of a system or an air-lift pump Optional may be present a system to remove fats / oils
