Chain and Flight Scraper
The Zickert Z3800 Chain and Flight scraper features materials
and components that guarantee long and problem-free opera-tion. Where appropriate, components of modern structural plas-tic material are used. The steel used is stainless or acid-proof steel.
The Z3800’s collector and drive chains are made of glass filled nylon material with high wear resistance and strength. They are very durable, noncorrosive and simple to assemble. The C channel-shaped flights are of fiberglass reinforced isopathalic polyester resin, especially designed for sludge col-lector service. Flight attachment links ensure that the flights are firmly attached to the collector chain. Nonmetallic filler blocks provide rigid support at the point at which a flight is connected to the chain. Flights of aluminium are also available. Each flight is provided with wearing shoes of UHMW material to run on wear strips. All wearing shoes are reversible providing two usable wearing surfaces. They are extremely tough yet have very low friction coefficient. The Z3800’s sprockets are all made of modern structural plas-tics. The drive chain driver sprocket and idle shaft sprockets are solid plastic wheels. The head shaft sprockets consist of an outer rim, divided in sections, mounted to a steel flange for ease of assembly. All collector chain wheels are supplied with a chain saver rim.
Shafts consist of driving head shaft and idle shafts, and are made of stainless steel or acid-proof steel. The head shaft rotate in bearings mounted to the tank walls. The drive unit assembly consists of a drive sprocket, drive chain, gearmotor, motor base with built-in chain tensioner and protective cover.
