Its purpose is to show, on the outside of a tank, the level present inside.

Water meters
From a distance they allow you to measure the amount of water passing through pipes.
Flow indicators
They aim to show the flow of a fluid. They test it either via transparency for coloured liquids, or with the help of a mechanical indicator such as a ball, a blade or a propeller.
Flowmeters
They describe the amount flowing through an area for a given time period. Different devices for measuring a flow are flowmeters, volumeters, etc.
Manometers
Pressure measurements can be carried out by devices like manometers, pressure switches and pressure sensors.
Thermometers
They can be from specific devices (thermometers, thermostats, temperature sensors) to measure a temperature.
Steam traps
Steam traps aim to remove the condensates without allowing the steam to escape. Condensates are expelled to maximise the thermic efficiency of the process.

Automatic float air trap PN16 – brass – femelle BSP
The purpose of a float trap is to remove air present in the piping while the installation is being filled with water. The force of the weight of the float trap acts as a lever which brings down the valve and allows air to escape.
